What is the purpose of Camp Bluebonnet?

- Camp Bluebonnet provides an enjoyable day camp experience for children with diabetes
whose unique health needs are provided for in an active, fun environment where diabetes
is the norm rather than the exception.

- Diabetes education is provided for children and families with the goal of improving quality
of life and prevention of long term complications.

- Camp Bluebonnet participants form long lasting friendships that provide support and reassurance
which helps participants know that they are not the only ones living with diabetes.

- Because diabetes affects the whole family, the whole family is encouraged to participate in camp.

- Camp is fun!  Smiles abound on the faces of Camp Bluebonnet campers!
